Starting a home-based business is hard

Starting your own online business is one of the most stressful, difficult undertakings ever. Many people think it's easy... just set up a website for your service or product and, voila— instantly you'll be selling to the masses. But it's not that simple.

There is so much that needs to be done prior to starting an online business such as product/service analysis (is it viable, is there a demand for it), marketing strategies, pricing, etc. And, even if you've done all your homework, unless you're planning on spending some hard-earned cash to hire someone to set up and implement a website on your behalf, you'll have to do it yourself.

Even after you've set up your business online presence with a website, you will still need to optimize it for search engines. Again, you can either do this yourself (which takes a lot of time and effort) or hire someone to do it for you. However, aside from SEO, your marketing plan should include exposure via other means such as advertising (banner-ads, classifieds), word-of-mouth, social networking... the list goes on.

Yes, it is a huge endeavor to start your own online business— that's for sure! But, for those who have a desire to become an entrepreneur, I've included a link in this post to a FREE tutorial site that will help you get started. You might want to check it out:
